Ease into the evening with pranayam (breathing exercises) deeply relaxing gentle yoga.

Pranayam is the hidden gem of Yoga.

This ancient practice connects body, mind and heart and opens up the possibilities of deep transformation on all levels.

Once many years ago, I was suffering from a rash on my face. My doctor prescribed various creams and I tried dietary changes, but nothing worked. It was a red blotchy itchy patch that just wouldn't go away.

 

At that time, I was living in the Shanti Yoga Ashram and a renowned ayurvedic doctor, Dr Arya Bardwaj, was visiting us.
So I sought his advice for healing, expecting some kind of salve or even dietary changes. His main recommendation, however, was to perform a simple breathing exercise a few minutes a day.  I started the practice; and within 3 days the rash began to reduce visibly. In a week, it was gone. 

This experience ignited my interest in pranyam and I embarked on many years of study of its bountiful benefits for body, mind and soul. There is no medicine that heals like pranyam. It is free to do, easily accessible and each unique breath practice heals us on so many levels.To so excited to offer this new class and share the gift of pranayam, joined with yoga practice. Give it a try and experience rejuvenation, wellbeing, restful sleep and deep healing on all levels!

You have the option to add on a relaxing yoga asana class after the pranyam, that combines gentle movement, Restorative & Yin Yoga poses for a yummy evening preparing you for deep restful sleep. Note* these two separate classes that are both included in the Shantikula Gentle Yoga membership. Or, you can attend the two together for a one-time reduced price.
